The primary mission of NRCME is to improve highway safety by producing trained, certified medical examiners who can effectively determine whether a commercial motor vehicle driver's health meets FMCSA standards. XICON provided a team of senior project and technical managers to implement all facets of this extensive congressionally-mandated national program, including curriculum and examination development, outreach/communications, working group facilitation, and learning management system development/electronic data transfer.
XICON delivers comprehensive program support services and technical and creative services, including accommodations assessments and services, administrative support, acquisition support, marketing communications and outreach, and portal and website support for the CAP program. Established to improve federal government employees with dexterity, hearing, visual, cognitive and communication disabilities access to electronic and information technologies, CAP is the single largest provider of accessibility accommodations to the federal workforce. XICON's experts research and test assistive technologies that bring equipment within the reach of employees with disabilities. XICON's team acquires and maintains the program's inventory of the most effective software and devices, and informs federal government managers of the program's benefits. We are seeking an entry level candidate who has the desire to learn about business operations while supporting the Department of Defense Computer/Electronic Accommodation Program (CAP). The candidate will ultimately learn about assistive technology and acquisitions in the federal government while performing key functions within the Assessment and Acquisition Branches. The Assessment Branch works directly with customers, federal employees with disabilities, and wounded, ill and injured Service members to identify and process requests for assistive technology. The Acquisition Branch works with vendors to implement federal acquisition regulations in support of procurement. Candidate will perform administrative tasks, conduct market research, assist in records management, assist in planning and coordinating activities, review information for accuracy, and complete documentation in accordance with applicable laws. Candidate must be detail oriented, professional, and possess strong communication skills. Excellent time management and organization is required. The candidate must be self-motivated, be able to multi-task and have basic computer skills, including MS Office. The desire to increase employment of people with disabilities and wounded Service members is a must. A Bachelor's degree is required for this position and the candidate would need to obtain a clearance that requires U.S. Citizenship.
